Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera
Don't blink or you'll pass right through this hamlet in central Ibiza, lying inland and to the west of Santa Eulalia del Río. Yet visitors have found their way here, as the little handicrafts shops and galleries in the central square, Plaça de l'Església, testify. There is also a number of fine bars here if you'd like to escape inland from the beaches one day and see what an island village looks like. All of these bars serve a tasty snack called bocadillo completo (a roll of tomato, cheese, and Serrano ham).
The main reason for coming here is to stay at one of the island's most enchanting retreats, previewed here.
